Section titled “👥 The Crew”Overview
Section titled “Overview”Your van doesn’t travel alone — and neither does the payload calculation. The Crew section lets you add profiles for everyone (and everything) that regularly travels with you: partners, children, dogs, cats, the friend who’s in the van more than their own house. Each crew member’s weight is included in the payload calculation, giving you an accurate picture of what your van is actually carrying.
Opening The Crew
Section titled “Opening The Crew”The Crew section lives in Settings, below the Fleet Manager. It appears as a horizontal scroll of avatar cards under the heading The Crew.
Adding a Crew Member
Section titled “Adding a Crew Member”Tap New Member (the dashed circle with a plus) to create a new crew profile. The Traveller Passport sheet opens.
First name or nickname — what they’re called in the app.
A short description: “Co-pilot”, “Dog”, “Baby”, “Navigator”, “Chaos Agent”. Free text.
Species / Type
Section titled “Species / Type”Defaults to “Human”. Change it for pets or other companions. The species label appears on the passport card.
Tap the avatar circle to add a photo from your library. Photos are cropped to a circle. For pets, this is genuinely useful — and a great excuse to use your best photo of the dog.
Weight
Section titled “Weight”Enter weight in kg (or lbs if you’re using Imperial units in Settings). This is the value that contributes to the payload calculation. Be honest — the payload calculation works in your favour only if the numbers are accurate.
Country / Nationality
Section titled “Country / Nationality”Optional. Useful if different crew members have different visa requirements when crossing borders.
How Crew Weight Affects Payload
Section titled “How Crew Weight Affects Payload”Every crew member’s weight is summed and included in the Payload Used calculation on the Manifest tab:
Payload Used = Items + Crew + [Fuel] + [Water]A van with two adults (75kg each) is already carrying 150kg of crew weight before a single piece of gear is loaded. Understanding this helps you avoid surprises when the payload ring turns orange.
If a crew member isn’t travelling on a particular trip, you don’t need to delete them — just be aware their weight is currently included. The crew total is always the sum of all profiles in the list.

Editing a Crew Member
Section titled “Editing a Crew Member”Tap any crew card in the horizontal scroll to reopen their Traveller Passport sheet. All fields are editable. Tap Save when done.
Deleting a Crew Member
Section titled “Deleting a Crew Member”Open the passport sheet for the crew member and tap Delete at the bottom. An alert confirms before proceeding.
